next food after they throw up?
faithy's had a tough christmas holiday. she wasn't feeling good christmas eve (very mopey and just laying there). and she barely ate for 2 days.
then, last night she finally ate some food, so i thought she had gotten over whatever it was. she didn't eat all of her food, but she ate most of it, so i was happy. if she hadn't eaten last night, i was calling the vet today. unfortunately, she's thrown up twice this morning. mostly looked like food from last night. since she's thrown up, she's acting normal again. her energy level is back to normal and she's playing and running around like a crazy girl. and, she has finished off that little bit of food she had had left. so, i'm thinking if she keeps down that little bit of food for 2 or 3 hours, i'll feed her a bowl of food - may-be less that she usually gets. how long do you guys wait for their next food after they get sick? or, do you put food out and let them decide if they are ready to eat it or not? |

WOW that sounds like Penny was and it lasted for 4 days. First two days mopey, didn't want to play, wouldn't eat or drink water. Second two days throwing up because she did eat and drink. She is now back to her normal hyperactive self. I just let her decide when she wanted to eat. I kept dry food for her in her bowl.

Sweetheart they do get viaral viruses as we do and it passes through a kennel and it over. If your dogs are healthy it will pass with absolutely no effects but diaherra and some get reallly ill, I give them a tbsp of pumpkin canned no spices and it recovers them overnight, a tbsp on honey is a super cleanser of dogs bacteria in their bodies and stimulates the heart also. Just a good thing... I keep it all on hand, also a cup of plain yugurt in the evening is great for a dog to eat, just plain and simple good for them and helps with many things, dogs get what humans get in different forms, so just give what I have suggested and used supper supplements at springtime.com and they willl stay so healthy and wise it is scarey .......honest I do NOT lie to anybody I Am old and why lie at this stage, I am out to look for great animals care not people care, I could care less, I love my dogs so much it shows, they are so healthy, skin and coats are so shiny, pliable, not dry and honest I do not brush daily I cannot with my crippled fingers to hold a brush handle to do all 9 of them, but I try and I adore my dogs, at this point and time limited I just cannot tell you enough how I live for my dogs and they do me also. Honest to GOD they do and they listen to me so well it scares me as I have to be in charge, weak as I am, they seem to sense any healthy issues I am sure you have all read this and know they do and they sense I have a bad problem and might now not alot of time left with me and Oh GOD they truly seem to know honest they do I am not telling wise tells, I tell it like it is maybe why I have been told to straighten out or get off. I just want all to know dogs have many true senses we do not have and they know way ahead what is going on and they start to kindle and kuddle and try to tell me mom I know your ill please hang in there for us please mom please.............
