ladylover is on a distinguished road
Second chance (with pics)

I just adopted lady from the CT humane Society. She is six years old and was adopted as a puppy and then returned 6 years later because she had the trots. When I first got her she was having accidents all over the house and I didn't think I would be able to handle her. Then I decided to get an electric fence and a doggy door so she could run out whenever she needs to. I haven't had any accidents since! I took her to the vet a couple of times but it seems there is nothing he can do. I just couldn't return her because when I took her out of there it was like she had just broken out of jail! She trusted me 100% immediately.

Awwwww How can you turn away from that face?

I see dog ownership as a commitment for the natural lifespan of the dog. That's 10 - 14 years in a GSD. Whatever issues come up will be dealt with however they need to be, and we'll carry on. Disabled pets are like disabled children, you just learn to cope.

That's a wonderful story! I'm proud of the people who give abandoned pups new homes! Instead of going out and buying a brand new puppy, there are actually people who try to give other dogs a chance for survival! =) Good Luck! She'll sure be happy with you! And she is such a sweetie! I love that little face!
