Hubby is wrong.... Can you imagine what your house would smell like as you dehydrate that many pig ears. They would have to be in there for a long time.

I routinely buy a package of pig ears for $15 Can (they are over $1 a piece) but they are good ones and don't smell.

I don't know about pug ears (wink wink)

yep the ones I buy dont stink either and I told him he could be the one to cook them, the semll would be bad I know, I must admit they seem expensive here, usually i buy just five at a time and it £2.50 for three, that is why i brought a box full, do you know of any good makes to look out for? the box I have is "Irish rover" and with 5 dogs they dont last long lol

Kota doesn't like them. But you can't even get bones here for free from the butchers. I don't know how the U.K. works..

I think pigs ears cost about $2.00 for one.

I have one in the kitchen that has been there for a good month.. Kota didnt' even take one chew out of it...

i used to give my dogs pig ears, untill the price went up here in AL for them. my pups love them. but, i would think that dehydrating your own would stink to high heaven, and would prolly be unsanitary if done in your own house. But you might ask the butcher to see if he has a smoker you could use and pay him to do it that way.. mabey that would save money and your house. =)
