Royal Canin food?

I was just at PetsMart and they had a sale on Royal Canin dog food. I was unfamiliar with the brand and asked about it. They said it was about at the top of the line in dog foods. They said it can be rich and if you have any problems, you can bring it back. After I bought it for $5.?? (two bags), I began to think. If it is rich, is that bad? Feedback anyone?

I believe that royal canin has one of the noxious preservatives added; I can't quite recall whether it is BHA or BHT but it is one of these two and they are known to be cancer causing in the long run so I wouldn't pay top money for a cancerous product.

I may return

I may return this dog food. I was hoping some people thought it was good like the woman in the store told me.

Sorry, its different for all dogs but people who work in stores tend to go by price and what sells the most, a lot of the time they dont know much about food, is there anything else you could try?

I could

I could try anything else. I guess I was pulled in by the name and the price. It seems like my dogs get tired of the same taste in dog food.
