I noticed in a couple of threads people where getting confused weather to say my dog was Neutered or Spayed, so i figured i would post a thread with this little tid bit,

I know this is kinda... down to the point, but ...

NUTS = Neuter.

I garentee no one will forget that huh? Anywaz, i just thought that it would help for anyone who gets tounge tied in this area... when i learned about that little trade secret it always stuck with me, i never get them confused now =)

I read an article recently that said it was appropriate to use neuter for both sexes!

So, other than spay must mean female because nueter means male (because nueter has nuts) what other way can you remember spay is female, I wonder ^^

Humm dont know, personally i have always found it strange that people get it mixed up

I did too, but I guess when it's the first time really using those words it can be difficult learning. I just learned about them at an earlier age I guess

Neuter-neither feminine nor masculine
Neuter can mean either or so if you just say neuter you will always be right.

Yeah, neuter can be used for either. It just means desex. Male is castrate.
