Angel had her puppies!!!

For some crazy reason my computer picked this week to go wacky. Just when I needed you guys the most.
Anyway, Angel had two puppies yesterday. One at 3:38pm and the second at 5:30pm. They are so cute and doing really well. I will post pictures as soon as I re-install my program for my digital camera, urrgghh.
Okay, here's my problem. My sweet sweet dog hates me :-(, won't let me or my husband anywhere near the pups. How long will this last and what should we do. She won't get up to go outside, she won't eat or drink, nothing. She just lays in there with her babies like a coiled up snake, ready to strike the first person that comes near them???? Will this stop??When??
Thanks,
Jen

Yeah, I would think this would stop. Im not 100% sure, b/c i dont know your dog. But when my dog had her puppies, she wasnt like this at all. All though i have heard of horses, and many many dogs do this at times, when they have there first litter of pups. Im sure she will come outta it. Everything is prolly just new to her. Good l uck, and get us some pics!!!

Congrats on the puppies!!! I bet they are just adorable. I had a pit that did the same thing with her first litter but that was 17 pups so I think she was just mad about how many she had but she pulled out of it in about a week. Good luck and please get some pics soon.

Congrats! Can't wait to see pics... I agree she will probably get less protective within a few days or so.

Well Sharky was never aggressive with anyone after she had her pups. We did have to force her to got to the bathroom it helps pass all the stuff i take her out often. Sharky has finally started eating more and shes out of the whelping box more now. So it takes some time. Not all dogs are the same. CONGRATS!!!!!! I cant wait to see pix
