Crab Walking?

I have noticed at times that when I come in the house from work that Penny will come toward me kind of sideways, not walking forward but kinda like a crab. Has anybody ever seen this? Should I talk to the vet about it? I have never seen it before so I don't even know if this is a problem or not. She doesn't do it all the time, but when I saw it, it sort of concerned me.

Could be a hip issue or a pain issue. Call your vet and ask him/her about it. It may be nothing too but better safe then sorry and a phone call costs nothing.

i definatley agree that you should talk to your vet first but i have seen dogs do that before and it is sort of a submissive greeting. my pom will do it when he really wants something and he knows that he can't have it. a lot of times dogs will accompany the side ways walking w/ smiling too.
