Happy Tails! (dane rescue)

Heres some of the dogs that were in our rescue, but have now found their new loving homes

Hi - My name is Aristotle (aka Bentley) and I am an 18 mo old Harlequin Great Dane. When my Daddy first got me as a puppy we did lots of training and went lots of fun places.
Then my Daddy's job (that's where he goes to get dog kibble) kept him busier and busier. Daddy loved me too much to leave me alone all the time, so he gave me to Mary, my new Mommy. We love each other very much and spend almost all of our time together.

I'm learning to be Mom's service dog, to compete in obedience, and am earning a place on the Arizona Great Dane Drill Team. My favorite toy is an empty 2 liter soda bottle, and since Mom doesn't drink soda I'm asking for donations!

Shiree came to GDDR on October 29th, 2004. GDDR was unable to put her in the program due to the foundation paperwork not being finished. A Board Director decided to take her in following all the guidelines GDDR set for the rescue.
UPDATE
Shiree was a seven year old black female that needed to be an inside pet. She was spayed, micro chipped and updated on all her shots before she was adopted out. Her adoption was finalized on January 6th 2005. At last check, she was very happy at her new home in the Phoenix area

Upon surrender it was determined that Forrest was found as a stray and the new owner could not keep him. Forrest went to the vet to get checked out right away and searched for a micro chip. He was already neutered, decently healthy, and had no sign of a micro chip. We took him to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control and notified them we had him. We then hung posters in the area he was found. We also posted him on found pet sites. With the knowledge a fellow rescuer had on a lady that had lost a dog the month before, Forrest was reunited with his family after being missing for four weeks. He now lives back in the wonderful home that agreed to micro chip him and spoil him rotten after his terrible ordeal. Forrest went home on January 15th 2005. At last check up, Forrest was enjoying being reunited with his family and Dane sister Jennifer.

Riley came to GDDR on April 13th 2005. She was a sweet girl that needed a little bit of house manners and slow proper introduction to other animals. GDDR micro chipped, updated her shots, spayed her, and gave her an over all vet check. Riley’s adoption was finalized July 21st 2005
UPDATE
Riley now has a daddy that loves her dearly. On occasion, she has been known to show up to fundraisers and say hello

Samantha came to GDDR on July 5th 2005. She was a nine month old puppy in need of a little bit of house manners. GDDR micro chipped, updated her shots, spayed, and fully vet checked her. Samantha’s adoption was finalized August 11th 2005.
UPDATE
Samantha is living the good life as a princess. Her family very much loves to spend time with her. She spends her days babysitting her pet fish

Beau came to GDDR on July 5th 2005. He was a six month old puppy in need of a little bit of house manners and a calmer tail.GDDR micro chipped, updated his shots, neutered, fully vet checked, and gave good efforts to fixing his “happy” tail. Beau’s adoption was finalized August 11th 2005.
UPDATE
Beau lives happily with a wonderful family that spoils him and has learned a lot about his “happy” tail issues. He has an adorable Beagle sister that they rescued previously

That's awesome that they have all found wonderful loving homes! It's great to hear success stories rather than all of the horror stories all the time. They are all beautiful, especially little Beau and Aristotle. I love their color! I hope the rescue continues with such success!

Wow, great job! They're all so beautiful too! I love Danes...they're such gorgeous dogs. A neighbor a few houses down from me has 2 of them - one is black, and the other is harliquin. They're both full-grown, and when it's nice out their owners sit on a bench swing in their front yard while the dogs lay next to eachother on the front lawn. You drive by the house, and the harliquin one looks like they have a cow sitting on their lawn...lol. So adorable.

I love great danes but I have too many dogs of my own not to mention a horse that eats like a horse. LOL. I love animals but my husband says we don't have the funds anymore. I am soooo sad.
