how old is she? is there a medical reason not to bathe? You must be sure to check the recommended age of the pup on the shampoo, but other than that there should be no problem with bathing unless instructed not to by a vet. Many puppy shampoos list an age of 12 weeks as recommended,, but if you look you can find an organic shampoo that is safe for very young puppies.

Maybe what someone ment was that she can't go to the groomer to have a bath... which is true, but you can buy some shampoo and do it yourself

I am quite certain that your pup is NOT going to come down with parvo, distemper or hepatitis through being lathered, lol. Man, some people will say anything that comes into their silly heads, lol. Don't use insecticidal-based shampoos on a young pup but I don't see the connection between water, plain shampoo and an unvaccinated pup is.
Take what these people say in future with a grain of salt

She can't go to the groomer, or anywhere else. But you can bathe her in your own home.... Use a mild soap, puppies have sensitive skin.

I agree with Moo, i wouldn't take her to the groomers, Lord knows what she could catch there, but i would bathe her at home with a mild puppy shampoo... a stinky dog isn't good =) besides i'm sure the vet would like to work with a clean dog more so than a smelly one LOL..
