my friend has a cat who is allergic to all fish products and merrick is one of the only canned foods that has many diferent sources of protienw/ out fish. her cat that is allergic eats california natural dry but cats/dogs need extra moisture. she tried raw diets but her cat "monster" turned her nose up at all raw food for over 2 weeks so thats out of the question. she doesn't have to use merrick but it has so many varieties

i have been reading that merrick uses bad meat and that different things like plastic have been found in the actual cans. i just wondered if anyone has heard of those things.

i do agree that it's long but try and find a good canned cat food that does not have anything fish and there is more than 1 choice for protien. i figure that since her dry food california natural has such simple ingredients that the nv prairie will be good. and there aren't 7 protiens in one can there are 7 different choices to buy ie chicken and turkey, beef, venison and so on if thats what you thought i ment. but if have any suggestions.

At first, my dog did well on Merrick, but in time, she began showing signs of her old sickness. She began throwing up again and I switched her to Natural Balance. I haven't had a problem since.
