Cut Pad

Well we're not having much luck at the moment are we? We don't have an injuries that cause bleeding for a whole 18 months of Poppy's life and the second she gets diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder she has three incidents in the space of a month

So today's incident was a cut pad, we go for our usual walk and somebody had kindly smashed a bottle full of alcohol over the path AND road. I tried to kick it away with my feet and made Poppy walk around it but I obviously didn't do a very good job because when we got home I noticed blood on the kitchen floor...

Poppy is very good though, she let me clean it and check that there was no glass in it, then she let me put a plaster on - which stayed on for all of 10 seconds - lol So we had a cuddle and a pressure applying session

Hubby called and I told him and he said, "oh no, not ANOTHER vets' visit" . Thankfully not this time!!! They say they always come in 3's - yep, they sure do!

Have you looked into getting her doggy shoes? There's this kind I got both of my big dogs when we lived in Arizona that you slip on and velcrow around their leg so that they stay on. I got them the shoes cuz there were these thorn things that would fall off of the trees and they were really sharp. So they protected my dogs feet. You should prolly check them out with Poppy's blood clot problem. They aren't the fancy kind that like Paris Hilton has for her Chihuahua, but they are for dogs just to walk in.

Thank God that it was no worse than it was. Poor sweetheart has been through enough. I certainly would check about those shoes.

Oh boy.. Poppy needs to stay away from the accidents! LOL.

Ollie had a bad couple of months too, broken leg, Giardia, roundworms, Coccidia.. then it all came to a FINAL stop! And he was 100% better.
