I think that the germ itself is of better substance.... I've looked into vegetarian dog diets, because of Kirby's breed, but decided against it. People who feed vegetarian put huge emphasis on having Carrots, Wheat Germ & Alfalfa.

I don't know everything would be there if you just took the oil from it.

I have always been told that wheatgerm is great for the coat and adds a lot of shine, I have never seen the wheatgerm forsale here, in a health food shop etc to add to treats, just thaught it may be good to add to the dogs daily diet

yep sure will, i have a small pot of capsules, it says one per 10kg of body weight, so thats fine for pearl, but I will find out if its ok to give one to a dog less than that, pearl has a shiny coat already, but I wanted to see if it gets any shiner, not sure how long It will take to see results, it also says its good for the nervous system and fertility

Bumped this for you, they have been on them for a while and they all love them, I expected to have to add then to a treat to get them to eat them but they just swallow them, like a treat, even Pearl who is very fussy. I cant say I have noticed a change in coat but its a bit early for that
