Cool Grooming a Kleiner Münsterländer

Hello again! When I finally found a page about grooming I cant resist asking more!! This time I wonder what to do with my friends Kleiner Münsterländer ( looks like a small longhaired Vorsteh (German Pointer)) She have a really lovely ***** called Allissa but something happend to her coat after she had her first litter 1, 5 years ago. Instead of growing that shiny, flat, thick hair that its typicall for this breed she is full with matt, thin, long, frizzy hair. My friend took her to a dogtrimmer who stripped her but still no result. Should she continue to remove the hair with the wrong quality or what could she do? ( she is consider to try acupuncture - can that really help?) And why this change after the puppies? My friend is really sad about this because she dont know if she dares to continue her breeding - she is afraid that the puppies inherites the bad coat.
Some advise? (Sorry for my bad enhlish - I hope you understands what Im writing:-)
