GINGER'S PUPS....chapter 3
It could be the formula, although I shouldn't think it would have done that so quickly, sounds more like a tummy bug.
All you can do to help them is to massage their backs against the fur. Last edited by erdog3; 01-25-2005 at 03:33 PM. |

The answer to the mix up question on other link: Nothing happened. We shut the gate on Ellie and let her feed the pups for a minute, grabbed Ellie's pup, put him in, then put Soph and Wally in a pen, then let Ellie out.
Later on when Sophie's pups were older I had them all inside and they went straight to Ellie for a suckle, she was almost dry by then but they still got a little bit, turns out Ellie would be a great surrogate mum. Another point to add to this dogs superier personality. Not skyking here, but everyone who has one of her pups have said to me they are so well behaved, not boisterous, not even play nipping. Sasha came first in her obedience class.....How's that, I'm one proud breeder!!! |

They've been on the formula since Monday or Tuesday. It was just a bad can, very odd. He feels better when I hold him though

Glad that the puppies are doing well... no mention of Ginger lately, is she doing okay?? Has she seen a vet since the mastisis? Does your mom understand the gravity of the situation YET???
Andrea, you are a great person for doing this.... just a pat on the back to you and one to Sue for being such a willing helper!!! |

Ginger is doing great. Everytime I see her though she's nipping at flies, the poor thing
I don't think the vet said to bring her back...not too sure.

Has your mother mentioned finding her a new home?

We had quite the night last night. She wouldn't eat a thing and they both were moaning and groaning of a tummy ache. They really had me scared. Then this morning they were back to normal and ate a ton. I guess they just had to get over that tummy bug.

Hi Andrea, glad they are fine this morning. Nothing worse for them than tummy bug, they may have a bit of diarrehea, don't worry too much, unless it goes on for more than 24 hours and they aren't feeding either.

Thanks Ellierat. They're still doing good. Oh, wanted to ask you when I can stop stimulating them to poo/pee? They often do it on their own now.
