I've made my decision...

on what dog food I'm switching Tank over too and it is....*drum roll please*

Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul!

The ingredients look really great to me! It's also even cheaper than Flint River Ranch and it has better ingredients than Flint River. And it's nearby!

Here's the list of ingredients:

Chicken, turkey, chicken meal, turkey meal, whole grain brown rice, whole grain white rice, oatmeal, potatoes, cracked pearled barley, millet, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), duck, salmon, egg product, flaxseed, natural chicken flavor, kelp, carrots, peas, apples, dried skim milk, cranberry powder, rosemary extract, parsley flake, potassium chloride, salt, choline chloride, dried chicory root, vitamin E supplement, iron proteinate, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium iodide, thiamine mononitrate, manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, ascorbic acid, vitamin A supplement, biotin, calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, menadione sodium bisulfite (source of vitamin K activity), riboflavin, vitamin D supplement, folic acid.

I hear that is a good food. I sometimes buy their canned for a tasty treat for the kids.
Do you have Eagle Pack in your area?

No I don't unfortunately. I do have Innova around, but it's hard to find and it's about $15.00 for 6 lbs! I can't honestly afford that.

Thanks you guys ...or should I say girls lol. I'll definitey let you know how it goes once I get Tank started on it. He still has quite a bit of the Flint River left, so it'll be a little while before I get him started on the Chicken Soup food

I have a friend who feeds their dog that. They (the owners and the dog) all seem to like the quality of food. I have never tried it on Denali - I personally wanted something that had 'large breed' on the package and that was a good quality of food (Denali gets Nutro Natural Large Breed)

I have to be the odd one out on this. I can't stand Chicken Soup. The food has way too many ingredients for my liking. It's not a bad food, but I would never feed it to my dogs. At one point, I did. All of mine were sick on it. I switched gradually (full week) and gave it a month to get used to it. They never did, they still had the runs and didn't seem to be okay on it. I tried more than one bag, thinking that maybe it was just that bag, but that wasn't it.

The ingredients look good, but there are just too many. My kids need a very basic food for their tummy's.
