I haven't use dit, but I know some who have. If you have a puller this will help alot. A normal harness helps, but the dog can still pull quite a bit. This will keep the dog moving at your pace, and does not inflict any pain when they start to pull.

I know you have pits, strong dogs! This will help you witha big strong dog like that.

Question

Thank you for your input Peptodog. The reason i'm aksing is because I'm going to be doing dog rescue & i need a good training aid to teach them not to pull on the leash when walked.Regular harnesses don't do that.

Has anyone used this product? The Pro Stop Gentle Harness.

Has anyone used a Sporn Harness?

Either one will serve your purpose. The attachment on the collar will pull the head back a little every time they pull. It will quickly break the habit.

If you wil be training with these then I would recommend selling them too, that way new owners can continue what you've started.

I volunteer at our local spca and when they get a bigger ( or stronger) dog in with little of no training that like to pull they use a Gentle Leader... I really like them, don't know if you've seen them before, if not here's a pic

I use something similiar by new tricks, it is alot easier to get on the uncooperative dog and the can't slip it like many do the muzzle clooar on the gentle leader. Don't know how available it is yet but I got it from my vet and the best part is the leash still goes on the back of the head.

I knew somebody with a Jack Rusell who used the sporn... She said it didn't work very well, and made him run circles trying to escape... but Jacks will be Jacks :P
