I need help!! Worms
I have a brussell and she keeps getting worms. I had her dewormed like I should when she was a puppy. She is 8 months old now and this is the 2nd time she has had them. Should I have her dewormed more just to prevent them? My boston has never had worms ever. I just don't u7nderstand why Abbie keeps getting them? Please help.

Is there rabbit or rodent poop around? That could be were she's picking it up. Even with one deworming, it's possible that not all the worm eggs were killed.
I would go with the second treatment, wait two weeks and have her poop retested. |

Make sure she is having a wormer that covers all worms, not just roundworm, and also ensure she is having the correct amount for her weight

I worm my dogs monthly the 22nd in fact with Zimectrin, has same chemical as Heart Guard so this saves also. They have never had worms, my pups never do a I worm with with Early Worm every 2 weeks till they leave.
I also hot lime our entire 5 acreas pushing a spreader with hot lime to kill any eggs, etc. every spring. It keeps the knats, and small bugs away and just helps in our process of keeping the place bug free. It does work. Mess, yes it is but worth all the effort of walking 5 acreas and having white feet when done. lol. Worm a dog after six months of age with one mi only about teh size of a new eraser on a new pencil is all that is necessary monthly and your dog will have no worms. |

There are different types of dewormers for different types of worms. You may be deworming with the incorrect med. I'd try a different one from your vet. It's also normal for your dog to have worms more than once in its lifetime.

we worm all of our dogs every 3 months and never have any problems, why not talk to your vets and to try a differant brand?
