lazer surgery

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a dog needing to get soft palate surgery? I have a 7 year old boston terrrier that is going to need to have this done. Does anyone have any feelings or comments on this proceedure?

I've heard of this in brachycephalic dogs (short nosed dogs -pugs, bostons, etc) to help their breathing along. I've heard it works great! Is this why you are looking into the surgery?

Yes, that is why i am looking into the surgery. The vet said my dogs palate was inflamed and that he needed to get the laser surgery done. He is 7 years old right now and its only been hard for him to breath for the past couple months. The first vet i had taken him to said it was kennel cough so when it didn't clear up after 2 attemps of meds i decided to get another vets opinion. So he is scheduled to have the surgery on the 3rd of march. I am nervous, i don't like the thought of any surgery but i have heard a lot of positive feedback about this one. Hey thatnks for writing me back. talk to you later.
