Thats awesome! Why has Pearl not been spayed yet? If your not going to breed her why put her and everyone else through that mess?

Forgive me if I am wtrong, but I have been told humping is more a form of dominance, i.e. the pups establishing a "pecking order" amoungst themselves. Usually the Female is the more aggressive one (my female, who is spayed, even humps the cat).

Just thought I'd let you know,,,even with your pup being nutered, he may not stop the humping. Also even nutered dogs go nuts when they are around a female in heat,. so you may want to work on hubby a bit to see if he consideers getting he pup spayed. Just a thought to help you all get a good nights sleep

yes thanks I am aware of that, the humping isn't what bothers me its the semen that bothers me on his bedding and pearls back, I have been involved in breeding dogs for a few years so i know of the troubbles that go with a bitch in heat

That's cool! It will be a lot less stressful for everyone involved.

Actually Barnjess him humping his bed wont stop. He has already started...

My friend has a dog who humps his bed, so they got him nueterd, since he had already been doin that, he NEVER stopped.

When I would go over to her house he would always get frisky and hump his bed and he is nuetered.

So its very likely the behavior wont stop

Vinni- you are sort of correct, but ni this unneutered dogs case it's most certinley sexual and not about dominance. Yay barnjess! Keep working on hubby to get Pearl spayed too if your not breeding!

Like I said I dont mind about the bed humping its what follows, he has been doing that for ages jacks mature quickly and vets here wont neuter untill over six months so he is being done one week after 6 months, I have even ofered to pay for pearls spaying, but he said he hasnt decided wether he wants her to have one season first, i think he is worried about his little girl having the op, but at the end of the day there is only so much i can tell him, and the reast is up to him, I will not go behind his back and have her done, so i have to wait for his ok
