In the same boat... This year Dax won't stop. It's terrible. It is coming off in the bagful. I've tried increase oil in diet, blowing drying at the dog wash, brushing til she gets sore. Nothing seems to make any differenc.

Next dog - Portugese waterdog.... NO SHEDDING!!!!

Still - I won't give Dax up for the world and I hope she lives to be the oldest dog in the world

Yeah... but keep it a secret. Otherwise all the young folks will think I'm old.

The view is nice here at the top of the hill!

Tip: maybe you shouldn't post secrets on your public profile!!

As for the shedding, depending on how scared your dog is of vacuums, there are some vacuums that have brush adapters so that as you brush the fur loose it will vacuum it up as well.

I dunno if this'll help but my Golden "Echo" was shedding terribly. So i gave her a bath and then brushed her until my arm hurt, and so far (it's been 4 days) she has been way better. Bearly any looose hair!

I have a sheltie that sheds but if we give her baths and comb her once a day its not bad. Were getting a Labradoodle 2nd generation. No shedding!

I have (vacumming) - and tried it. Wasn't overly impressed with the results. The rack is by far the best brush for the job and good high power blower. You'd think with all the hot air I have - I'd be able to get rid of all her shedding.
