thyroid causing aggression?

I have heard that thyroid problems can cause a dog to be oddly aggressive.

Has anyone had experience with this?

I have had friends that have had hypothyroid problems but never seen an agression issue with any of them.

I know Dr. Jean Dodds has been doing a study on this. I will be taking my girl that has issues to her soon.

Dax has a thyroid condition. If untreated they tend to feel bad which might make them grumpy. Although I have never had any aggression from Dax and she's had it for a long time.

Rudy is Hypo Thyroid, which can make him lethargic but not aggressive. With his condition if left untreated it causes loss of energy, the dog becomes obese, their hair thins and they can get skin conditions ( even on meds they get skin conditions ). If left untreated for longer periods of time it can lead to organ damage.

If a dog is hyper thyroid then the opposite happens, they are hyper and can be uncontrollable and they are skinny. I suppose they could have behaviour issues but I don't think aggression would be one of them. Could be.

Thyroid can do a multitude of behavior changes.. usually depression, lethargic, ADR (ain't doin' right.. it's an actual medical term), but being depressed could cause a glimpse of anger.

Nope this is not the issue. She is not hyper or lethargic. She is just a normal Brittany. If anything she has calmed down. This is most likely due to age. Nothing severe that would cause alarm to me that is for sure.
