The more and more I research, the more confused I am! I'm just not sure what to feed me little guy. I have tried Royal Canine for Chis and he wasn't a big fan. It also said he would have less smelly poops but I found they were worse than when he was on Pedigree and Purina mixed. Now we have switched to Eukanuba small breed, but I think it smells terrible. He also doesn't like the food dry. I add a litttle water to it and he does eat it. I am getting to the bottom of the bag and wish to change to something better. I am also getting another dog, but she will need a puppy food as she is only 5 months. Here is what I have narrowed it down to.... Innova (can't decide between reg or EVO) or Holistic Blend Chicken, Rice and Vegetables Can you guys help me decide or if you have any better ideas?? They are both small and not super active. Regularly exercised. They are 1.5 years and 5 months. One is a Pomchi and one is a Chi. They are 7.5 pounds and 5 pounds. Thanks so much and all the info will be much appreciated!!!

I would go with the Innova adult and Innova puppy for the little one.

I choose Innova.
Not EVO unless you have a highly active dog, or a dog who does not like to eat. The little amount that they are allotted in a day could drive many dogs INSANE. lol |

My dog is not super active, I chase him around our house and we play fetch. He entertains himself, does tricks and goes for walks. Regularly active I suppose. They are really little. I chase Skootie around the house, poops him out eventually.
![]() That's why I was leaning towards Reg Innova instead of EVO which is higher in fat and protien. Anyone try the Holistic? Thanks for the info everyone! Have a great week! |

What local brand did you try Moo? I live on Vancouver Island, so it might be available here too?

Isn't reg Innova only 550 Calories per cup? It's the EVO that is super high, isn't it?

Have you looked into Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul? It's a dog food and has pretty good ingredients. My Chihuahua loves it!

I have come to the conclusion that any and all dog foods are no good. I might just be saying that out of spite, but I am sick of my dog being sick. Her foods are not helping her at all and I am seriously considering going RAW soon.
