Want another funny..Breeding, the beginning.

So my dad is kinda funny, Ha, Ha, I mean, We live in the town, back in '75, we decide we need a new start, so we buy 5 acres, miles from nowhere, and start this new life. I'm just in my 20's here.
We need something to eat the grass, we also want milk, but we have some nasty weeds cows won't touch, so we go for goats...they eat anything...right!!
Three ladies arrive, all have names, really personalized, you know the sort of thing....petite looking, friendly...I immediately fall in love .
One gets sick, the vet comes, we have to give injections...never done this BEFORE...vet wants a volunteer, Of course I stuck my hand up right away..umm..first dose, vet there, shakey, but fine.
Second dose, vet gone, shakey, very shakey, I'm yelling "dad hold onto her", he's got her rear end pushed up against the shed wall, yelling "hurry up and do it", course I'm shaking even more now, what if I get the vein....Nope, neidn't have worried, I didn't even get the goat...I got my dad instead. LOL.
Guess who was alergic to penecillin...DAD. lol. never lived this one down either.

Breeding one next issue....

You dad sounds like mine (of course mine has no sense of humor). We are visiting the farm down the way when my mother phones. The horse we had tied up in the garage has cut himself on the portable welder. My sister (older) and mother don't know what to do...so my dad says to bandage it. We get back 15 minutes later to discover the took cotton (loose) and wrapped in around the horses leg. It took more time to get the cotton off than it did to treat the wound. The only funny part of the story was that my little dog (Noodle) watched the whole thing. We ended up having to cut off a piece of flesh that was torn and he darted in there and took off with it at a full run. Noodle was a cockapoo (or cockadoodle) and the size of a cat.
The only time that little guy ever tasted horse flesh.

My childhood is filled with stories where my dad and I played vet to soo many animals it was hard to keep track.

None as funny as trying to explain to the neighbor what you'd doing to your poor dog. Bet he calls first now LOL (still laughing)

Dax that is gross, Yukky, but it's similar to the one where dad and I went to the calf scales to get some poddy's, suckers we were, one had fallen off the back of a farmers ute...and the story continues....

My dads allergic reaction...mouth ulcers, stomach ache etc. ever tried to hit a moving target, except the target was still, but my hands just kept moving..LOL.
