hi ive been grooming for 2 years now and am just about to take my city and guilds exam anyone out there who has already done it?

no i havnt yet but good luck my friend that works with me has done it and y said it was really hard to work out what they wanted as u trim it for half show and half pet standed but good luck and let us no how u go with it

ah thanks - im lucky we have got a lady whos done it coming in to help us and she reckons im pretty much there thank god!!! the worst part is finding dogs to do the exam on - most pets just dont have the coat.

Hi Suz! I am a groomer, but in the USA. We have much different regulations for being a groomer. No certification is required in order to work as a groomer.We can go through certification testing if we would like, if a person gets there grooming education from a school, they automatically do testing before graduating. I have attended seminars to get credit and a "title" if the lawmakers ever decide to make licensing manditory. Good luck with all, I'm sure you will do great

b4 i go for my one if i do it i will go to sumone in norfolk to train under her and watch her do it it is hard finding the whw with the full coat but the 2 are easy to get hold of here but i have still got a long while till i have to even think about it lol as iv only been doing it a few months i did trim my first bichon up yesterday which i was pleased about lol good luck 4 the exam
