Beefy Dog Bone Biscuits
3 eggs 3 tablespoons soy flour 3 tablespoons wheat germ 3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder 3 beef bouillon cubes dissolved in 6 tablespoon hot water 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 3 cups whole wheat flour Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat eggs slightly in large mixing bowl. Stir in soy flour, wheat germ, dry milk, bouillon, and Worcestershire. Add flour and work into a stiff, crumbly dough with your hands. Divide dough into two balls. Divide each ball into 12 pieces. Pat each piece into a 3-inch rectangle, 1/2-inch thick, on ungreased cookie sheet. Using biscuit cutter or knife, trim to shape of dog bone. Bake for 25 minutes. Turn biscuits over with a spatula and bake 25 minutes longer. Canine Cookies 1/2 cup dry milk powder 1 egg, well beaten 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar 1/2 cup water 6 tablespoons beef broth Baby food meat Combine and shape into ball and roll on floured board, using extra flour if needed. Cut. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. These cookies should be hard. 1/2 cup low-fat Cheddar cheese, shredded 1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese 2 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup peanuts 1/4 cup water Mix together Cheddar cheese, flour, cottage cheese, oil and peanuts. Add water and stir. Break off golf ball size pieces and shape into rounds. Place on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with a non-stick spray. Bake at 375 degrees F for 40 minutes. Cool and serve. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Makes about 24 balls. Doggy Biscuits in a Jar 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar 1 dog biscuit cookie cutter 16 inches pretty ribbon 1 large envelope, with a hole punched in the upper left hand corner 1 cup all-purpose unbleached flour 1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal 1/2 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder 1 teaspoon brown or granulated sugar Pinch of salt Type baking instructions (see below) on a pretty piece of paper or card and tuck inside the envelope. In a medium mixing bowl, combine: the flours, cornmeal, milk powder, sugar and salt. Using a funnel, pour dry ingredients into the jar. Close jar tightly. Tie dog biscuit cookie cutter and instruction card around the top of the card with a pretty ribbon. Doggy Biscuits Position a rack in the center of the oven. Preheat it to 250 degrees F. Place Doggy Biscuits mix ingredients in a medium size bowl. Add 1 large egg, 1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, and 1/4 to 1/2 cup (or more) hot chicken broth, beef broth or very hot water. Make a dough that is very heavy, but not sticky. Add more flour or water, 1 teaspoon at a time if dough is too moist (use flour) or too dry (use hot water). Turn out dough onto a floured pastry cloth and knead 8 to 10 times until elastic. Let dough rest for 5 minutes. Roll out dough 1/2 of an inch thick and cut with a dog-bone shaped cutter. Place cookies close together as they will not spread. Bake for 1 hour. Rotate the baking trays in the oven (turn tray around 180 degrees), and bake them another half hour. Cool the cookies in the pan for 1 minute, then transfer to a wire cake rack to cool completely. 1 medium pumpkin 1/3 cup of honey Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour 1 inch of water into a large shallow baking pan. Cut open pumpkin,discarding stem, and scrape out seeds and slimy membranes.(DO NOT PEEL THE SKIN-ITS A GOOD SOURCE OF ROUGHAGE FOR THE DOG) Cut pumpkin into 2-inch pieces and place in preheated baking pan. Bake 1 hour,or until pumpkin is tender. In a small sauce pan,heat honey and enough water to make a light syrup. and simmer sauce 10 minutes.Transfer pumpkin to a shallow bowl and pour sauce over it. Makes about 1 quart of pumpkin and syrup A cake for your dog Ingredients 1 lb Ground beed extra lean 1 C Oatmeal 1/2 C Cracker crumbs Directions 1.Using electric mixer, blend all items together until completely blended. 2.Pour into an oblong cake pan sprayed with non-stick spray. 3. Bake in oven at 350 for 25- 35 minutes. 4. Allow to cool. 5. Carefully invert on to plate and frost with non-fat sour cream or imitation potato topping. 6. Store leftovers in refrigerator. DOG MORSELS 2 cups whole wheat flour 2 tsp. garlic powder 2 cups white flour 1 cup skim milk powder 2 eggs water 1/2 cup melted beef or pork drippings (or lard) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix ingredients together with enough water to make a stiff dough. Roll out and cut into Christmas shapes. Bake on cookie sheet until hard. SAUTEED LIVER Heat 1 teaspoon corn oil in a pan. Add 1/4 pound beef liver and fry on both sides until cooked but not dry inside. Add 1/2 cup water to the pan and mix it up with all the brown bits. For dogs, cut the liver into pieces and serve; for cats, grind the liver in a blender, using the pan juices Yield: 6 Servings 3 c Boiled sliced potatoes 2 tb Grated vegetables 1/2 c Creamed cottage cheese 1 tb Nutritional yeast 2 tb Grated carrots 1/4 c Whole milk 1/4 c Grated cheese Layer the first 5 ingredients into a casserole dish. Then pour the milk on top of all; sprinkle with cheese. Bake about 15 minutes at 350F until cheese melts and slightly browns. Serve cool. As a potato substitute, you can use 3 cups of cooked oatmeal or 3 cups cooked brown rice. Oatmeal - Wheat Germ Dog Cookies Yield: 50 dog cookie 3 c Whole wheat or rye flour 3 c Uncooked oatmeal 1/2 c Plain wheat germ 6 tb Margarine 1/4 c Molasses 1 c Evaporated milk 1 c Water Mix together the first 3 ingredients. Then thoroughly mix in the last 4 ingredients. Dough will be stiff. Chill for a half hour. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Flatten, place on greased cookie sheet, and bake for 1 hour at 300F. Doggy Delight Biscuits Ingredients: 2 cups biscuit mix 1/2 cup corn meal 1/4 cup vegetable shortening 1/3 cup grated yellow cheese 2/3 cup milk Method Preheat oven to 400*. Mix the biscuit mix and corn meal together. Add the shortening and cheese. Stir in the milk, mixing all the ingredients together. Roll the dough into a floured board and cut into small squares or use a cookie cutter. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake about 15 minutes. Let cool for about 2-5 minutes. Then feed to your special canine friend! Enjoy! Veggie Dog Biscuits 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup margarine 1/2 cup cooked carrots or peas (or combination of both) 1 garlic clove, minced 1 cup whole wheat flour Milk 1. Combine the cheese and margarine. Mix in the carrots and/or peas, garlic and flour. Add enough milk to form for a stiff dough ball. Chill dough for 1 hour. 2. Roll dough out on floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into desired shapes. 3. Bake at 375*F (190*C) for 15 minutes or until nicely browned Parmesan Herb Doggie Treats 1 (.24-ounce) package active dry yeast (2 1/2 teaspoons) 1/4 cup lukewarm water 2 cups chicken broth 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup powdered milk 2 tablespoons dried parsley 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 2 teaspoons minced garlic 1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup rye flour 1/2 cup rice flour 1 cup cracked wheat 1 large egg mixed with 1 tablespoon milk for glaze 1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add the chicken broth, oil, cheese, powdered milk, and herbs. Gradually stir in the flours and cracked wheat. (If needed, add enough wheat flour to form a stiff dough.) 2. Transfer dough to a floured work surface and knead until smooth, about 3 to 5 minutes. Shape the dough into a ball and roll to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes and place on ungreased baking sheets. 3. Bake at 325*F (160*C) for 45 minutes. Remove from oven. Brush the treats on both sides with the glaze mixture. Bake for an additional 30 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Magic Meatballs 1 pound ground beef 2 cups dry kibble 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup wheat germ oil 1/4 cup Linatone (vitamin oil) 1. Grind Kibble in food processor or blender. 2. Combine all ingredients well and form into 1/2-inch balls. Store in the freezer. Use for treats or weight gain. Liver-Flavored Dog Biscuits 2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour 1 large egg 1/2 cup non fat dry milk powder 1 beef bullion cube dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1/4 cup liver powder 1. Mix all ingredients together well. 2. On a floured work surface, roll dough out to 1/4-inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. 3. Bake at 300*F (150*C) for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Cheesy Garlic Chunks for Dogs 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or other mild cheese) 1/4 cup margarine, softened 1 to 2 garlic cloves, crushed 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour Milk 1. Cream the cheese, margarine and garlic together using an electric mixer. Add the flour and mix thoroughly. Slowly add enough milk to form a stiff dough. Shape dough into a ball, cover, and chill for 30 minutes or more. 2. Roll dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes. 3. Bake at 375*F (190*C) for 15 minutes or until lightly golden brown and firm. Cool on wire rack. It is a great for an every day meal, or just once in a while! Ingredients 1 cup Dry dog food 2 grape tomatoes any amount of any kind of cheese any kind of meat if desired 1/2 cup cottage cheese Directions Mix all ingredents and serve A nice addition to dry kibble. Ingredients 506 Large dog biscuits 1 Small can wet dog food 1 Small potato 1/2 C Warm water Directions Slice the potatoe as thin as possible and put into a small pot, add water and set on medium heat. Stir for 30 minutes or until thickened. Crush dog biscuits in a ziploc bag ( crush as small as possible). After the right texture is reached take the pot off the fire and add the biscuits, and the canned dog food, stir completly until everything is thourghly mixed. pour the gravy onto the kibble and be sure the meal is completly cooled then serve to your Fido. great recipe for your best friend on any given morning. Ingredients 6 Eggs 1/4 C Water 1/2 C Flour 1 1/2 T Salt 1/4 C Sugar 1/2 C Crushed dry dog food 1/4 C Meat Directions Whip eggs until foamy. Mix flour, salt, and sugar well. Put in a large bowl. Mix eggs and water. Put in large bowl. Mix well. Put in frying pan and after 45-60 seconds add dry dog food and meat. Cook until eggs are done. Let cool. Cut up and serve. Simple Doggy biscuits Ingredients 1/2 C Flour 1/4 C Water 1 lb Chuck roast Directions 1. Mix water & flour together 2.Pre-heat stove to 400 3.Cut roast into small pieces 4.Roll roast into ball spread mixed flour & water over the balls 5. Place on pan at least 2in apart 6.Put in oven 4 15-20m 7.Take out & let cool 8.Serve A yummy large breakfast meal Ingredients 3 Eggs 1/2 C Skim milk 1 Cooked chicken breast 1 C Light cream 1 C Uncooked broccoli 1/2 C Uncooked parlsey 1 C Uncooked oatmeal Small portion cheese (optional) Directions This is for one large dog. Rearrange the measurments according to your dog's size and food needs. 1. Crack eggs and pour them into a container (keep shells for later). Pour the 1/2 cup of skim milk in with the eggs. Beat the eggs and milk together with a fork until the mixture foams. 2. Collect the cooked chicken breast (remove bones if it isn't boneless), the brocolli, the parsley, the oatmeal and the cream, and the egg shells and put them in the blender. Blend well. 3. Put the chicken mixture in a bowl and put in the microwave for 40 seconds. 4. While the chciken mixture is in the microwave, put the egg mixture in a frying pan. Fry and stir constantly until cooked. 5. Take the chicken mixture out of the microwave and stir. Put it back in for another 20-30 seconds. 6. Put the scrambled eggs in a bowl. Let the chicken mixture cool, and then pour it on top of the eggs. Cover with more fresh parsley and a very small portion of shredded cheese (cheddar is best) for flavour. 7. Serve to your pooch and watch him/her gobble it up! NOTE: This recipe is not intended for the only meal of the day. It does not have all of the necessary requirements for a healthy dog. It needs to be supplemented with other meals at other times of the day. This meal should also not be given to an overweight dog, as it will not help in the losing of weight. Liver Bisquits 1 pound of raw beef liver 1 cup white or yellow corn meal 1/2 cup flour 1 to 3 teaspoons of garlic powder or 2 or 3 cloves of fresh garlic. Put liver in blender or food processor (with fresh garlic, if used) and blend until liquified. Mix with dry ingredients. Spread on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes and 350 degrees.
