Ears

This isnt really a grooming question but since I have a rough collie I figured most people with experience in this breed would end up here. Is it possible to tell if my collie puppy's ears will naturally tip at 8 weeks old? The reason I ask is there is a lot of natural tipping ears in his pedigree. And the last litter the woman bred using his grandma all had natural tipped ears. His ears seem very heavy and are not protruding up like his brothers and sisters are. (well at least a few of them)

Thanks!

It may just be too early to tell. Some dogs take a while longer to get theirs up
