Dog Ice cream ????

Apparently Wal - Mart is going to start selling doggie ice cream , like bacon flavoured???? LOL YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not had the chance to actually oook at the ingredients or even see the stuff yet . Has anyone else seen this stuff yet ???

What is it like ? I am just curious I doubt very much I wil buy any but you never know.

I never meet a dog that didn't like plain old vanilla. Just a gimick. I would get frozen yougart as a good alternative.

I normally will buy Frosty Paws at the grocery store for Denali.

My dogs like Frosty Paws too.. their bellies don't though.

I'm at the point where dog food is all they get, sensitive things.

I just freeze yoghurt and stock for them, the ones I have seen in pet stores are full of junk, let us know whats in this one

there are a few supermarkets that have it here. I have not looked at the ingredients. way too expensive for such a small container. besides you can make it yourself

Frosty Paws Dog Ice Cream Recipe
32 oz. plain yogurt
1 mashed banana
2 T p'nut butter
2 T honey
It’s true dairy products aren’t good for dogs, but yogurt contains much less lactase than regular milk and the live cultures are great for your dog’s digestive system. This dog ice cream recipe is delicious and good for your pet!
1. Mix all these ingredients in your blender, then dump into ice cube trays, paper cups, or even a kong toy to freeze and serve.
2. If you want to go all out for your mutt you can freeze these homemade frosty paws just like you would homemade ice cream. A salt-less automatic ice cream maker makes this as easy as using any other appliance in your home and the frosty paws will be ready to serve in 10 minutes.
For the ultimate treat, appropriate for desert at a doggy birthday party, follow steps one and two, then take the mostly frozen dog ice cream product of number two and spread it 1” to 1½” thick on wax paper. Freeze for five minutes and thenremove dog ice cream from freezer. Next, use a paw shaped cookie cutter to cut a paw shaped “frosty paws”, remove ice cream around edges, and return paw shapes to the freezer to freeze solid.

I make my own frosty paws using dixie cups and the recipe Bernice posted. My dogs absolutely love it.
Besides the fact that the ones at the store are horribly expensive, it says on them "not for human consumption"... If I can't eat it, I'm not giving it to my dog.

Yeah- I wouldn't waste my money on bacon ice cream.. Elle loves regular vanilla ice cream. We always get a cup for her when we go out for ice cream. One time at friendlys, the lady asked if we wanted a spoon with the ice cream and we're like "nope, she doesn't use a spoon..".. the lady looked freaked out until she saw elle.. lol..
