something wrong

with my dog's feet. He just lays down and licks his right hindpaw, or sticks the whole feet in his mouth and kind of bites around with it. I've looked at his paw, and couldn't really find anything out of the ordinary with it, but when I touch it he seems to bring his feet in closer to him and starts licking again. Do you think he's cut himself somewhere on his paw that I haven't found ?

Some info: Spends majority of his outside time on cement, sometimes goes on the lawn to run.

Some cuts on pads can be so tiny you can't see them - I can remember Poppy doing what you are describing and my outlaws said "there's nothing in her pad, we can't find anything" - well I had a look and there was a bit of her pad that was red and inflammed - it looked sore but they hadn't seen this. I kept an eye on it and it resolved itself in a couple of days. On another occasion it was when we were out walking, she started limping and going mad stoping to lick her pad, I wiped it but as it was so muddy I couldn't find anything, turned out she had a tiny stone stuck between her pads!

I would keep a check on it and make sure that he's not making anything worse, but if he starts limping on it or anything or it does get worse then I'd take him to a vets.

This could also be allergy's. Dogs will chew on their feet or legs if they are allergic to something.

I would take you dog to the vet or at least call the vet to ask what he thinks.

What Dobified said.
Licking can mean allergy's.

My first thought is allergies like the others.

BUT, Ollie does this.. and not frequently enough to be concerned about allergies. In fact, he does it as a game sometimes.. "try and catch the hind paw in your mouth!"

He is not outside often --since we have no yard-- so cuts and scrapes are rare.

Kirby has seasonal allergies and gets itchy paws every late spring.

I would go with allergies, but I would first call my vet to see what he thinks.
