Question do you know whats wrong with my dog?

my dogs been getting some sores aroudn his eyes, and my family all have conflicting ideas as to what it could be. mum says it could be cancer, dad says that because he's going blind he could be grazing himself on walls and steps, and my brother thinks it could be an allergic raction. i have no idea what it is. i went out to feed him this morning and he had a bleeding sore at the corner of his eye, i dont think he grazed it, because its in suck an awkward position:

There was also one about 5 days ago, above his eye that i found before i had to rush out of the house. this was the first one i found, and i also noticed him licking his paw, where there was a tender pink spot between the pads. im not sure if that makes a difference, but i thought id mention it. there was also another bleeding spot, above his eye a couple of days afterwards. theyve almost healed up, but you can sort of see them in this picture here.

he has a bad heart, and im not sure if its the medication, he's on fortekor 5, which he was on before, so i dont think its that. but he's also on a dhiaretic, called frusemide (40mg), and it might be a reaction to that, but he's about 6kg, and i the vet said that was a healthy dose for his weight.

if you have any ideas, dont hesitate to tell me, that'd be great thanks

Maybe it's due to allergies. Do you see him pawing at his eyes?

Given the various meds he's on, I think a vet trip is warranted. I hope he gets better soon. Keep us posted.

I would at the very least call the vet, phone calls cost nothing and can ease your mind.

It is probably something that is irratating the eye, like allergies or possibly dirt , sand, something like that. If it is almost healed then wait and see if it comes back, but do keep a close eye on it.

were taking him to the vet today, i think it is alergies, he's rubbing his face on the ground alot, and pawing at his face. Its hard to tell which of the sores are new, and which are healed up, because when he rubs his face on the ground, the scabs break off, and the sores start bleeding again.

I'm so glad you're taking him to the vet--those sores look painful.

it turned out to be conjunctivitus, and the discharge from his eyes was causing the sores around his eyes, and on his paws. but the day we were taking him to the vet, i went outside to check on him (just because i like to fuss) and he was lying behind the steps on an old tarp. he'd hit a nerve and his entire arm had been temporarally paralised 8-| so he spent the night at th vets, and we gave him anti imflamitories, and now his arms all better. We cant do anything about his sight though, because he has cataracts on both eyes, but apart from that hes in great shape.
thanks all for you concern

cancer sounds like the prob.

i have the same kinda prob. at my house, my dog will bite his paw, but nothing seems unusual, since hes only 3. i just think it could be allergies.

Chemo is a good idea.
