New Tool For Diabetic Dogs

I was reading an article in the local newspaper. I won't type the whole article but here's the subject. The new blood glucose moniter is called AlphaTRAK. It tests in 15 seconds. It claims to be more accurate than human monitors because in dogs, more blood sugar tends to hide inside red blood cells compared to humans. The test is taken by mini-lancing the dogs ear. The article was first shown in Knight Ridder Newspapers, the author is Dr. Marty Becker. Information on the monitor is found at, www.abbott.com. I thought this was information anyone with a diabetic dog would be intersted in.
