elbow Dysplasia
Hi Thunder (my dog) a rottie went to the vet today. he had a limp. after the vet looked at him she told me he had elbow dyaplasia
 and that the would need x rays and then we would talk about surgery. I feel like a mean mom, at this point i cant afford his x rays ,im looking in to getting a loan from work and then we will get his x rays done. My question is has anyone gone through this, and how much did it cost? Any facts i should know? Im just looking for information on it and want to make sure he is ok. He is 5 do you think the surgery would help him?  thank you Danielle

The x-rays are worth it.It will help you know just what kind of elbow problem he has.or if he does at all.So far the vet is just guessing they need the x-rays to make sure.
elbow x-rays are about 65.00 here. Donna

I agree , x-rays will be the best thing to let you know where you and your pup stand. Here x-rays are approx 75 dollars.. but watch out for the additional shots, that can cost major!! Ask your vet what the cost will be =)
