Generic Heartguard

I just ordered Heartguard
4Generic Heartgard® Brown Alternative (Ivermectin)
Large Dog 50-100 lbs (23-45kg) - 6 month supply

$19.95

from Pet Shed in Australia, it is a generic, and they can send it without a perscription. My order was processed and send within one day. I sould receive it in 6-10 days. I have six large dogs and Heartguard keeps me poor. They answered my question that I emailed to them right away and I'm very happy.

personally i would be very leary of anything australia has to say on medication. Australia is the reason that Pro Heart for dogs whas recalled. ( I mean no offence to any australian peopel on this forum, its not your fault... ), anyywaz, i would be leary, you might want to do a list check to the real thing to make sure nothing is substituted, but thats just me.... good luck

IMO that's a pretty big generalisation. Lots of countries have had products recalled before, not just Australia, and it certainly doesn't mean the whole of Australia shouldn't be trusted because of it.

I probably wouldn't buy medication online though.

Pro heart was not recalled by australia is was recalled in the USA because vets were calling in this dog got such and such did pro heart cause it that is the basically the memo we received at the vets office i work for As for other heart worm meds yes you do not need a prescription any more to get ivermecton but i would be leary of getting it from places like petmeds or whatever it might be called because you do not know for sure what you are getting yes it may say sentinal or heartgaurd but it may have been altered so just becareful also if you buy through one of these place the makers of these porducts will not honer their guerentee

I wouldn't use any ivermectin. Too much breed sensitivity. It kills collies in some cases and many other herding breeds. But that is just breed sensitivity. My pup gets interceptor. No heartguard is allowed even in my house. The other kids are on it, too. I wouldn't buy a generic brand. Not when my pups life is on the line.
