Snuggles is bleeding

I don't know if Snuggles is doing too much or what but it looks like dry blood from where she was cut last week when she got fixed. Does anyone else know if there is suppose to be a lump under their stick area? I don't know if that is a organ or what.

Being that it's dried and not fresh, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I would just try to very gently clean it with a warm cloth or cottonball. However, if it's persistent, it's definately worth a call to the vet.

I know after Bogey had his lumps removed he had several lumps right under the incision areas. At first I thought she didn't get everything out. I took him in and the vet told me a lot of dogs will have a mild reaction to the sutures under the skin that causes irritation/lumps. She was right, in about three weeks they were gone.

It never hurts to run them in to the vet to ease your mind.

I would try and relax honey small lumps can be under the skin from sutures etc. Slight bleeding can also occur, wipe with a baby wipe get some at Wal Mart Generics and use to keep her clean is more important than anything. Keep her comfortable, no jumping around etc. Just keep the cut clean and dry and she will do fine and dandy. The little bumps etc will reduce as she heals. God BLess

Week later

Doesn't a week later a little late for bleeding that we haven't seen the whole time?

Try not to worry. He could have pulled on the incision a little. I would call the vet in the morning too. (Fellow worry wart reporting for duty). My vet never charged for those kinds of visits - so why not.

It really depends on the amount. If it's a small amount of seeping, I'd keep it clean and just keep a watch on it.

If it's more than that, I'd take her in. I think you're like me, you're going to take her in regardless!

Is there any chance she's licking it and irritating it?

Aw Ginger! I hope she is ok! But with alittle blood once? I am sure that is norm after what she went through. After all she had other things done also. LOL

What about the blood? Did the vet say what was causing that?
