Fireking - Update on Kidney failure

Update on fireking. I could curse myself for just accepting what the vet said on the level of food he can eat per day.
She told me 400 grams in one meal only.
On the packet of dry canine renal failure food it says for dogs up to 40 kilo they can eat 485 grams per day.
As Fireking is a very big German Shepherd and weighs 54 kilo then we have basically been starving him.
No wonder he has been miserable.
Changed quantity last night and he seems a bit happier. Still not his usual self but at least not pining.
