Looks like I am gonna be a rescue mommy!

Well, I was checking out local rescue shelters.... we dont have to many mutts here but tons of purebreds (which I am not really interested in) I found a shelter from estonia which isnt really far from where we are a little flight and a ferry ride that has about100 to 200 dogs there. Mostly puppies who as the woman said are usually dieing of worms or other parasites as they can not afford the medicine. Luckily the finnish organisations are working to improve this and it is getting better! So I was talking to my husband who was trying to calm me down as I was Just heart broken by all these pictures... just tons and tons of puppies and dogs and lovely purebreds it was AWFUL! And after he said "you cant save them all" and I replied "no, but I can save one" he agreed to let me take a rescue! Now I dont know if I can get one from this shelter like I wish I could and if I cant then I will be at least donating some money. I will be taking one from here as soon as I can find a dog in need. (finland really doesnt have to many surprisingly except for purebreds who are usually going to the doggy community and dont last long in rescues) So when I find my lovely dog to rescue I will post some photos. Here is one that I will be contacting the shelter in Estonia about.

I will keep you all posted. I have to see if customs will let me bring a dog from there in. They use to but then they stopped allowing it. But now that Estonia is part of EU hopefully they have changed it.

Well I emailed them so now it is just a waiting game! I FINALLY found some links for dogs,puppies whatever that needs to be re-homed here in Finland. Usually they stay with their owners until the home is found. That is why the shelters are so "empty." I have had that little dog implanted in my brain the whole day!
