bath time

Magic doesn't like her bath as a rule, but she does like the treats she receives after we are finished.

She's not hard to keep brushed but it does take me almost an hour to blow dry her fur.

Now this looks more like my little Magic

She's so fluffy all cleaned up!

I gave up bathing Cali. There's hair everywhere and drying her takes quite a while and loose hair goes all over.

I made a deal with our local Petsmart. I take her in every two weeks and they bath, dry, trim nails and foot pads and give her a sanitary cut. All this for $9.99 each time. And she comes out with little bows in her hair that last about two minutes. And she gets good socializing while she's there.

I am free!!

She is so big! It never stopps amazing me the size difference in European and American dogs. Our shelties are the same size as Westies here. IDDY BIDDYS! Our collies are really small too..... strange. Anyone know why?

Magic is within the acceptable range of AKC but she is a little over her weight limit (all that home cooking she gets) So at 16 1/2 inches and 28 pounds she could trim at least 4 pounds off her body. It's up to mom to do it tho, she's a real pig when it comes to dinner time. UK dogs are smaller and I can't find out why either. It's strange because the original shelties and collies came from the UK region of the world.
