My dog smells so bad

I have a english bulldog puppy. He is 11 weeks and he smells so bad. I gave him a bath when i first got him because he was covered in poo. He smelled great after that and didn't smell for about a week. Then suddenly he smells so bad. I don't have to give him a bath to often because i don't want him to dry out. I tried puppy wipes with good scents and you can still smell him really bad. I've tried dog deo sprays too but those dont work. What could be making him smell so bad? He isn't outside all the time so he isn't dirty. He just smells. Anything i can do?

Sometimes it can be caused by the food you are feeding...What kind of food does he eat?

a dog should not have an intense odor especially a puppy, has he been seen? check for wetness leaving problems in his face wrinkles those have to be dried very carefully could cause skin infection. Also try giving him a tablespoon apple cider vineger in his food once a day. but seriously I would get him checked out. does he have diareah or seem off? smelliest thing I know of is parvo but that is very quick virus and much direah and pretty unmistakable so i seriously doubt that is it.

Pups usually smell good. Sometimes lamb and rice will make them smelly, lamb has a strong odour. Be sure to dry all folds clean every day, shouldn't be necessary, but pup could have a problem...have you checked the folds closely? Ear mites make any dog very smelly, is he shakig his head or scratching ears? try smelling for **** glands, a pup doesn't usually have a problem with these but mabe a bit of emptying if he gets frightened or nervous. If all this isn't the cause, then off to the vet's we go.

I would start by trying to determine what smells. Check his ears - are they clean? Smell his breath. - if he is poop eating there will be a smell from his breath. Look for signs of infection in his mouth as that would smell too.
Smell to see if it's his bum. Maybe he has clingons.

I owned an English Bulldog for almost 11 years, put her to sleep year ago past Oct 13. She never smelled, I cleaned her ears weekly, kept her eyes whiped and the worse was the lap over the nose that got dermatitis, I had to clean with wipes and put ointment on till healed then kept dry. It would stink, but she did not. As Dax said, check all parts for infections or dirt. Wipe her bum with baby wipes as it stinks if u get your nose that close. lol. If she is healthy and kept clean, do not bath them much as they have dry skin to begin with, just brush and brush, then spray a tad bit of doggie cologne on her back. Watch her face. Check her teeth also.

I'm with you heavenly jumper, that was hilarious. I wasn't sure if Dax meant clingons or clingalongs. I had tears in my eyes I laughed so hard.
