Fireking update but only read if strong stomach

Hi
As regular viewers will know Fireking has Chronic Kidney Disease and this is irreversible.
He is on a special diet from the vets which he initially ate without problem.
However now he is hardly eating the recommended quantity per day and the vet did warn that some breeds become anorexic.
I am not allowed to give him any treats so cannot entice him to eat by putting something nice with the food.
Now to the nasty bit.
Yesterday his stools - the first part was fine and nice and solid but the second part was soft and the usual colour but with green in it also.
Today the same thing first part was fine and nice and solid but the second part was soft and had orange in it.
Anyone who can enlighten me if this is a sign of the end please do as I do not want to go to the vets without being prepared for him to say that it is the end.
Please help if you can
Many thanks and best regards to all dog lovers and their wonderful pets.
Frankie

My dogs have that often especially if they go several times. To me it appears that the second poop didn't have enough time in the lower bowels to have the water reabsorbed.

Since he has problems, I would phone your vet and run it past them. The green & orange doesn't sound right

they have changed his diet there is going to be a change in his stools I am not trying to be insensitive in what i am about to say as i only say it because he already has problems and you know he will be gone soon and as much as all would wish it could change. please enjoy the time left with him. you will know when the time is coming dont waste a moment of it watching too closly and building anxiety that he is sure to feel from you knowing he is leaving sooner than later what I am trying to say sometimes we never get that cherished time and our dogs are gone before we know it and never got to say goodbye or spoil them rotten before hand.

As said you know the end is near. I had to make this decision on my English Bulldog, Oct 13, she tried hard to convince me no, picked up a toy and could not even walk to potty I carried her.
Call and ask your vet to be certain this is the end, as we are not vets nor vet tecks as though I often feel like I have been though the years. I would ask and be prepared if you need to go or is this is just something that might happen before the few months yet. I would put faith in my vet and not us. I would never ask anybody here to help me put an end to my pet. Be prepared and God Bless your pet may he not suffer, if he is put an end to it do not keep selfish reasons to keep us happy or I mean yourself so the pet is with you but so ill. Bless his heart, makes me ill and sick to know a dog you love is not going to last, but please call and ask the vet what is happening, do not rely on us here, to my knowledge nobody is that for real. I have worked with vets for many years, helped to castrate stallions, stitch up cuts, helped in the lab on one, but I would NEVER tell you what to do without you talking with your vet first. I pray it happens fast and easy. My Bulldog is in a vase on my fireplace mantel until I can bury her, she was my life even with my shepherds I adore. I talk to her every day. I have my Beta fish next to her for company yes this old lady of near 68 is nuts, but I love animals and I pray for your dog not to suffer. God Bless you all and especially he will wait at www.rainbowbridge.com for you all one day.
