Question In need of help

My pet staffordshire ,Stan, has been well toilet trained and for three years has managed to do well. But, recently he's been weeing on the carpet and i was wondering if anything was wrong with him. We let him out alot and take him for two walks everday so me and the rest of my family were slightly worried when these problems arose.

Also, around the same time as these problems, something else has occured. He's been limping for some time, although sometimes he can walk perfectly and sometimes he puts no weight what so ever on his back left leg and because he is a hardy dog we knew it must be hurting alot for him not to use it. But, it's an on and off thing and usually happens after walks and we get most worried when he stops using the leg at home when he hasn't been going crazy.

The first time his leg went we took him to the vets and they gave him some medication, but the pills were only great for a short amount of time and once off them the on and off limping began again. Now although the latest incident of his leg has died down we were wondering if the pain in his leg was causing his bladder problems but we are really in need of help and i was hoping that someone out here might be able to give me a solution or at least tell me what might be going on. thanks.

Sounds like a trip to a different vet is in order.

I agree a vet trip is called for. His symptoms sound very similar to how Dax was acting when we found out she had thyroid problems.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you keep us informed what the vet finds.

i think you need to take him back to the vet i'm not sure weather the limp has anything to do with the peeing on the carpet but if this is an unusal behavior he may be having some health issues please see a vet
