Omg Sally Has A Tick!!!

My moms puppy Sally that she got from a neighbour who let her loose has a tick. We have had her for about 6 months and shes had it since we got her. She is a year old. So she could have had it long before we got her. My mom thought it was a mole, and so did my step dad. They showed me an hour ago and I knew it was a tick because my dad's dog used to have one. I am lending the money on Thursday when I get paid because they have no money to spare for anything other than bills,...and they are bringing her to the vet and Im going with them. What I wanna know is...is Lyme disease easy to treat of is it pretty much non curable...cuz I know thats what you get from ticks. Also...we were all touching it...when we were trying to figure out what it was...we all washed our hands REALLY well but is it enough? Please give me some info on this as I can't find much...all Ive found is info on how to remove them but Ive warned my mom not to do it herself because she could cause it to deposit more toxic saliva into her...

Hmm...I would say remove it with some tweezers if you can. And, you can only get lyme disease from a certain kind of tick, so just because she has a tick, doesn't mean it's one with lyme disease. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be removed. Ticks are nasty little things. Please let me know how this turns out for you. Good luck.
