UTI again.

Not Faithey, this time it's Chuck. He doesn't clean himself. He get's "dirty" and icky. We bathe him weekly, but apparantly, it's not enough. The bacteria still builds up and causes a UTI. So... that's why he is peeing.

Can you maybe get baby wipes and clean him up so he doesn't get infected after he potties?

I'll have to ask my mom about that one. He's not my dog and he's not coming with me when I move. So, it's her call.

Good idea, though.

Have you asked the vet what to do ?

Rudy use to get sheath infection all the time when eh was younger because he never cleaned himself either. It did go away after he got older. How old is Chuck ?

He is three now. We've only had him for a few months still, so I guess you could say we don't know much about his history. I had the vets number, but this idiot wouldn't even give me his vaccination records because I wasn't the owner they had on file. We don't even know when to get them now. Talk about worrying about overvaccination. My mom won't get him tested. URGH!

How old was Rudy when he had this problem, and does he clean himself now? LOL, Charlie is so gross.

Rudy was from about 6 months to 2 yrs old when he has his problem.

Why is the vet so stuffy about his vaccination records ??? It's not like it is a person.... stupid! Time for a new vet.

AWW R.C. some dogs just never learn to clean up some lick too much. Gino cleans well, I holler at him for too much licking. But, he should know by smell so best I shut up, right? I wish you the best and so sorry for your problems when your ready to almost move honey.

That was the vet before we got him. I work for the vet I have now, and I love it. She's excellent. I train her pup and what not.

Maybe he'll outgrow it, too. He never really had anyone take good care of him before, so it's like being a puppy all over again. Who knows.
