Dagger's Mom is on a distinguished road
Unhappy Limping in dogs

I found this site when I was trying to find out what could be wrong with my Siberian Husky age 7 who started limping. Please all of you get help for your dog. I did but had to put my beautiful angel of a dog "Dagger" to sleep. I did it for him. His limping came on so suddenly and after x'ray's showed a slight narrowing in his disc I was told to get him a MRI (very expensive) which I did. I was prepared for him to have surgery thinking it was only the disc in his neck. The neurologist did the MRI and told me my beloved Dagger had a tumor in his spine. How could this happen? Just like in humans they do not know. While waiting for the MRI within 1 week my Dagger couldnt get up at all. I just wanted to share this with everyone who might be interested. I am devastated. I do have another Siberian who is 4 but we miss Dagger so so much and nothing will take his place. I am trying to keep Demon near us because now that Dagger is gone I dont know what will happen to him from being lonley for his brother.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. you have in your understandable grief posted this in the joke section. Could someone move it to its rightful place of honor so that we may offer our heartfelt condolances to Daggers mom?

I am so very sorry honey I sold a puppy to people that lost their Rocky to the same similar thing, it had to be put down. Now they are so happy with a new one but it took some months as I only breed my females once a year, he waited now he is happy I wish the same for you my dear. He is waiting at rainbowbridge for you.

I am so sorry to hear that. I have a male cocker spaniel that has nmerous problems with his discs in his neck and i fear the day that waits around the corner. He is now 10 years old, so we know it's not that far off, but all I can say is be greatful for the time you had, because it is so **** short!

I was concerned about Jackie., our Lab, he came up with a limp in his front paw yesterday, when he walked, but he would go outside and start running on it, he wouldn't limp again, untill he came in. He was hit as a pup, and i thought, that probably, arthritis is setting in, as it has rained every day. I'm so sorry you had to put your dog to sleep. Thank you for this info, I know it wasn't easy to discuss this. Hugs to You!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I know all too well what you are going through. A month ago yesterday we had to put our beloved Rottweiler Summer down for the same thing. She like your baby Dagger started limping and with in 3 days she couldn't get up at all. She was in a lot of pain. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing the Summer is better now and running around in big open meadows, watching over us. The lose of a pet who wasn't really a pet but a member of your family is very hard.
((((HUGS))))
