My dog ate lightly fried chicken liver when he was a puppy in addition with his meals. I'm not sure how much your dog is eating, but my breeder suggested 3 tablespoons per day.

Liver cleans the blood. Cow liver of an adult cow has a lifetime of impurities, etc. It is good as an extra source of protein but I would limit or switch to calf liver.

it probably should not be fed daily as it is an incredibly rich meat that will overlaoad ther organs. In small quaqntities on occassion it is very beneficial.
