what is the best flea and tick prevention? advantage,frontline, etc?

As I said in the other thread, I would say that the best prevention for fleas, ticks and worms is Sentinel. Sentinel is not a flea killer, it does not prevent bugs from jumping on during a walk in the woods, but the bugs will not multiply into an infestation. I also find it particularly useful because in addition to the abundance of rain in the area, Kirby is sensitive to having things on his skin/hair, and sticky liquids bother him and he scratches it out.
