bleach for white coat

The AED has recently been recognized by the CKC. Our first show is the first of June in Ontario. I have a 7 year old male with a couple large biscuit spots on his show side. As a young dog the spots were never noticeable but as he has gotten older they are very prominent. Is there a way to bleach these spots?

You can get a whitening shampoo for your dog. Get one that is detergent and soap free so it does not strip his coat.

HI,
I have found that whitening shampoo's make the biscuit show up even more. The whitener makes the coat whiter so the biscuit looks darker.

Just use it on the specific spot you are trying to whiten. Bleach is bad for the dogs coat and I don't recommend it. Matter of fact Bleach is one of the harshest household chemicals. Diluting it so that it isn't as harsh will likely just make it ineffective.

what is an AED?

TIME OUT TIME OUT!!!!

Bleaching coats is NOT allowed in the show ring1 if someone finds out you and your dogs may not be allowed back into the ring.

Face it, your dog has a fault....

I've always used a product called "Snowy Coat". It is a blue shampoo without an actual bleach component. I will track down the maketr and let you know.
