What causes bad breath in a dog?? OMG>>> I swear that I don't know which end of my border collie smells worse! She has the nastiest dog breath ever! Anyone know how to cure her "halitosis?"

bad teeth and bad diet usually are the main causes. Your vet will be able to clean her teeth properly, other than that make sure you are feeding a DRY dog food as canned contributes to halitosis in a big way. Give breath buster biscuits as treats and clean her teeth every day.

What age is your dog? Most times when the breath is that bad teeth have actually gone rotten and may need to be removed.
Open your dogs mouth, have a look, are the gums pink and clear or are they red and swollen, with yellow (pus). It will be the back teeth, not so much in the front. |

also make sure the jowls are cleaned .. bacteria can build there also and get rank.
