    my dogs nails are hollow!

I noticed about a week ago that the bottom of my dogs nails are getting hollow. I switched her dog food about 2 months ago. Is this caused from lack of nutrients? Does anyone know?

If by "hollow" you mean that the quick isn't showing through them, then that's just normal. Toenails grow out, and the quick doesn't always keep as long. Alll it means is that she needs a nail trim.
