Wink Meka has the measels(sp)!

Ok, its not the measels(sp), but she has several bumpy kind of scabby things on her face between her ear and her eye.
Clifford was licking her the other day, I thought he was cleaning her ears, but today, I actually saw red sores.
It doesn't seem to be a puncture wound, and there are probably about 6.

Any ideas??? I have never had a flea problem, could it be fleas??

Sounds more like some other kind of bug bite or an allergic reaction to something. Poor Meka!

Do you think I should run her to the Vet Monday. or wait a few days?
Clifford has been trying to take care of his litter sister.

As long as it's not oozing or spreading, I think I would wait a few days and see if it clears up.

Keep it clean and dry and maybe put something topical on it.

Does anyone know if you can put an over the counter cortisone cream on a dog, keeping in mind that Clifford might lick some of it off?

I agree with Debbie. Maybe put some bitter apple on it so that Clifford doesn't lick it. Him licking it, as helpful as he thinks he is, might be making it worse. Watch to see if it shows signs of clearing up. If so, I wouldn't worry about it. If not, then take her in.

Looks like an allergy.

I would just call the vet and see, but in the meantime you can give her a bath in epsom salt, that will help.
