ELLIE Update.

The vets have just rung...phew...what a wait.
She has been given antibiotics, they are keeping her another night, they will run blood tests and ultrasounds on Mon morning when places are open.
She does not appear to have pyometra..thank goodness.
She is still panting, her mammory glands are down and her vulva is swollen still.
They are looking at phamtom pregnancy now.
If it is a phamtom, I have never seen one so intense, the way she is panting, you would swear she is about to go into labour. (it is our winter..so it's not from heat). The dates do coincide though, her heat started on 12th June, so you count the days, she is a 12 day bleed..ready to mate cycle.
They are going to keep her on antibiotics, try to get her to eat a bit, and look at hormone treatment to snap her out of it, if this is what it is.
We shall see tomorrow.

Thankyou everyone for your support, kindness and prayers, they really do work.
Sue.

That Dawgy is gonna get so many hugs and kisses when I can pick her up to come home, not just from me and the kids, but all the ones I have to store up from everyone on the forum.
Sure am missing my baby.

Aww I'm glad to hear that!! I'm sorry I didn't get in on the lovin' earlier.. I was away from the forum.. talk about withdrawal symptoms.. last night while I spent some time with my hubby. He still thinks he comes first

I'm glad to hear it isn't Pyometra! And I will keep Ellie in my prayers.. Harley and Scooter will observe a moment of silence (yeah right, silence in my house) as their way of showing support.

<<<hugs to you and Ellie>>> and prayers for the vet's team to know what they're doing and to make the best call!
