Kirby gets a bath as needed betweeen professional groomings.

He gets a trim every 3 months, and usually needs a bath once a month.

I use J&J baby shampoo as that is what works best on my dog. GSDs tend to have very sensitive skin though, so that probably would not be an ideal choice for you.

Hi fellow white shepherd owner. I love EARTHBATH products. Here is what I used on both my WGSD and my black GSD untill Sheena was a year old and Luca is also on it till he is a year old. All the shampoos I am listing come with a spray on skin and coat conditioner to use between baths to keep everything just perfect. I have never had a problem with any of these. Since my dogs are service dogs they have to be bathed everyweek. But for a pet dog I would do it maybe once every 6 weeks to 2 months.

EarthBath Puppy Shampoo
A Natural Approach

Tearless & Extra Gentle, this exceptional shampoo is pH-balanced to give puppies the tender loving care their sensitive skin and coat deserve. Blended with a dash of baby-fresh cherry essence, this luxurious shampoo will leave your precious puppy looking and smelling better than ever before.

Ingredients

Purified water, natural cleansers, gentle conditioning agent, aloe vera, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, cherry essence. All ingredients are natural, 100% biodegradable, and extra gentle on you and your pet.

Instructions for Use

Shake well before using to ensure that natural ingredients are in suspension On a wet coat, lather your puppy thoroughly with a few good palm-fulls of Earthbath
® Totally Natural Puppy Shampoo. Remember to eliminate all escape routes well in advance (a tip once your pet is sudsy and wet, he or she is suddenly smarter and faster than you are). Rinse off Towel dry thoroughly with a big hug.

Once Sheena was a year old I switched her to:
EarthBath Light Color Coat Brightener Shampoo
A Natural Approach

Earthbath® responded to the need for a natural shampoo which adds extra sparkle and brilliance to the coats of light colored dogs and cats. We blended a special selection of natural minerals (known as optical brighteners) with the essence of lavender. This wonderfully aromatic and mild shampoo naturally brightens the coats of any dog or cat with light colored markings or highlights. Additionally, it is safe for any colored coat and will leave your best friend's coat shiny, soft, plush, and smelling naturally fresh. Safe for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens over the age of 6 weeks.

Ingredients

Purified water, natural cleansers, essence of lavender, optical brighteners. All ingredients are natural, 100% biodegradable, and extra gentle on you and your pet.

Instructions for Use

Shake well before using to ensure that natural ingredients are in suspension. On a wet coat, lather your pet thoroughly with a few good palm-fulls of Earthbath
® Totally Natural Pet Shampoo. For best results, leave on coat for several minutes to allow time for the optical enhancing minerals to work their wonders. Rinse off. Towel dry thoroughly with a big hug. For luxurious conditioning and detangling manageability, use in conjunction with Earthbath® Coat Detangler & Conditioner. May be diluted 25 parts water to 1 part shampoo if desired.

Once Luca is a year old he will be using:
EarthBath Mango Tango
A Natural Approach

Earthbath® responded to your requests for a high quality all natural shampoo and conditioner in one by creating Mango Tango®, a delightfully scented, biodegradable, pure and natural shampoo and conditioner that's sure to leave your furry friend looking and smelling better than ever before The delicious scent of fresh tropical mangoes combined with an exceptionally mild shampoo adds brilliance and shine while the extra gentle conditioner softens and detangles, leaving your pet's coat wonderfully clean, soft and plush. Safe for all animals over 6 weeks. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Purified water, natural cleansers, gentle conditioning agent, aloe vera, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, mango essence. All ingredients are natural, 100% biodegradable, and extra gentle on you and your pet.

Instructions for Use

Shake well before using to ensure that natural ingredients are in suspension On a wet coat, lather your dog or cat thoroughly with a few good palm-fulls of Earthbath
® Totally Natural Pet Shampoo and Conditioner. Remember to eliminate all escape routes well in advance (a tip once your pet is sudsy and wet, he or she is suddenly smarter and faster than you are). Rinse off Towel dry thoroughly with a big hug. Do the tango. May be diluted 25 parts water to 1 part conditioner if desired.

They have a great website that has many other shampoo types to help all sorts of skin problems as well. I hope this helps and if you have any more questions about WGSD's please feel free to ask me. If I don't know the answer I can defiantley co0ntact the right people who do.

I wash my dogs about once a month or every other month with Fresh n Clean Oatmeal and Baking Soda Shampoo. The puppies have their own Premium Puppy Shampoo Baby Powder scented. For dog shows I have a special shampoo that brightens brown coats.

I bath Lilly about once a month and usually use a whitening shampoo or an oatmeal based one. She also gets bathed at the groomers every 6-8 weeks.

Blaze hasn't needed a bath yet and I'm not sure what I'll use on him.

On the farm I had to bath them really often.

Here, they get bathed about every 2nd month.

My mom (a professional dog groomer by trade ) Found "Murphy's Oil" Excellent for their coats and skin. Cleans well. Very inexspensive. Smells great. Doesn't dry out skin.
